Before the New York event, fans had wondered if Watch Dogs game for PlayStation 4 may constitute the same core experience as the same on PS3, but this uncertainty has been laid to rest by Ubisoft Montreal, Jonathan Morin who said that a part of the game has undergone enhancement in the area of AI behavior, the wind/water simulation, etc, due to the next-gen console. As one of Ubisoft’s game, Watch Dogs will be coming to the PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and more importantly to the much-vaunted PS4 and Xbox 720.
There is no doubt that ever since unveiling of Watch Dogs, we have learned so much from the game’s premise and Ubisoft Montreal has got hold of a game that mirrors a polity obsessed with connectivity and information. One common feature of Watch Dogs, but for how the team approached the issue of morality with its lack of nuance, is binary denotations. The technology allows for a more sensible and dynamic simulations. The game producer, Dominic Guay said that situations will play out differently every time and pointed out that in Watch Dogs, an anti-hero, Aiden Pearce is capable of manipulating his environment anywhere, which in contrast most engines would require precise scripting and AI response.
At the 2012 E3, a demo showcased Aiden causing a traffic accident by hacking traffic signals. Guay said that depending on the simulation AI, the resulting chaos could play out in a variety of ways. As such, drivers might swerve and passerby might call for an ambulance, or pure carnage could result. The same level of unpredictability infused encounters with pedestrian. As illustration, the lead animator, Colin Graham who was controlling the demo, pulled out a gun on the sidewalk. The result of such is expected: some people called the police while others cowered. Developers are inputting ingenuity to enhance suspense.
The demo happened at the wards, the in-game representation of real world Chicago’s five poorest districts. After invading a Central Operating System server and installing a backdoor, Aiden has ease access to hack every available gadget and this became predictable. They’ll talk about you on social media and on the street. Remember, you can hack into any device and so you will overhear those conversations.”
It is important to note that part of Watch Dogs emanates from Aiden’s past and that his mastery of the digital world has an immense contribution to the gameplay experience. There is more to the storyline and plot of Watch Dogs game for PlayStation 4. And much has been promised when it comes to pleasurable gameplay, as we look forward to November 19 2013 when the game will be available on PC, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, Wii U and other next-gen systems.
